Still Runs Car, Truck, and Bike Show returns Saturday

The 6th annual Still Runs Car, Truck, and Bike Show, hosted by Pinups and Pumps, will be May 11 in downtown Albemarle.

Besides classic cars, trucks and motorcycles, the show will include vendors, axe throwing and cornhole tossing. Registration is from 2-4 p.m.

The event will include live music by Them Rockabilly at 2:30 p.m. and Jared Petteys & The Headliners at 4:30 p.m.

A tattoo contest is scheduled for 4 p.m., with a swing dance contest following at 5 p.m.

The pinup contest is planned for 7 p.m., with an art auction at 7:30 p.m. and awards presented at 7:45 p.m.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Butterfly House of Stanly County.

Can’t wait for the event? A pre-party will be hosted at Courthouse Tavern and Tomahawk Axe at 6 p.m. May 10 with music by Jack Burns.

On May 11, Main Street, from Depot to Third, and First and Second, from North to South, will be closed from noon to 9 p.m.

Data from the City of Albemarle shows 4,000 individuals attended last year’s event.
