STATE: Carolina Thread Trail leads free guided hikes, bike rides

The Carolina Thread Trail invites the community to hit the trails by joining a free guided hike or bike ride on June 3 – National Trails Day. Recognized annually on the first Saturday of June, National Trails Day is celebrated across the country with outdoor events and trail service projects.

Multiple Carolina Thread Trail locations throughout the Greater Charlotte region will participate, including:

Carolina Thread Trail staff members will lead four guided hikes and one guided mountain bike ride on signature segments of the Thread Trail throughout the region. The events are free, but space is limited and advance registration is requested online at www.carolinathreadtrail.org/ntd. Hikes are family friendly. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed.
