RALEIGH – Peggy Davis of Charlotte tried her luck on a $5 scratch-off and won a $250,000 prize.

Davis bought her lucky 20X The Cash ticket from Mighty Midget Market 2 on Tuckaseegee Road in Charlotte.

She claimed her prize at lottery headquarters Tuesday and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $178,751.

The 20X The Cash game debuted in February with 10 $250,000 top prizes. Seven $250,000 prizes remain to be claimed.
