Historical Society offers program on Burr, Madison, Rocky River Springs
The Stanly County Historical Society will host a program on Theodosia Burr, Dolly Madison and Rocky River Springs.
Presenters include Dr. Charles Coble, an Oakboro native, former educator, dean of the College of Education at East Carolina University and vice president of the UNC system. He will be joined by Dr. Nancy Farmer, a Norwood native, former associate superintendent of the Orange County Public Schools and past director of the NC Principal’s Executive Program.
The free program will be at 6:30 p.m. March 9 in the sanctuary of Green Memorial UMC, 11495 N.C. Highway 138, Norwood.
