The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook statement for an area including Stanly County, as well as Forsyth, Guilford, Alamance, Orange, Durham, Davidson, Randolph, Chatham, Wake, Montgomery, Moore, Lee, Harnett, Anson, Richmond, Scotland, Hoke and Cumberland counties.

In addition to a flood watch, a few thunderstorms may become strong to severe this afternoon and evening, mainly south and east of a line from Wadesboro to Raleigh to Roanoke Rapids.

As for Friday to Wednesday, no hazardous weather is predicted at the moment.
