Participating students are part of a community of young scholars who are striving to improve their knowledge of the world, its peoples and cultures. Competitions are held at the regional, national and global levels with hopes that through the creation of a worldwide competition, students can further their geography knowledge while making new friendships with like- minded peers from around the world.

“Connor is an outstanding student. It is really exciting for students to showcase their knowledge in a fun and engaging way. Being the advisor to the Quiz Bowl team in which Connor is a member, I see first-hand his hard work in academic competitions. He represented both himself and Gray Stone well and I am very proud of his accomplishments.” Clay Honeycutt, social studies teacher, said.

Connor plans to attend DePaul University in the fall. He is the son of Mark and Mary Allen Conforti of Salisbury.
