Friends of Stanly County Public Library to host N.C. author Kimmery Martin

The Friends of the Stanly County Public Library will host Kimmery Martin as featured author at the annual author dinner. This year’s dinner will be at 6:30 p.m. May 5 at the Hall House, with a catered meal.

Martin is the author of three novels, all of which are fictional accounts that are based in the medical field. Her latest novel, “Doctors and Friends,” centers around a fast-spreading virus.

Her first novel, “The Queen of Hearts,” focuses on doctors in a hospital and secrets among them. Her latest paperback, “The Antidote for Everything,” is about a female urologist, whose best friend is fired when he is told that he can no longer treat patients and he refuses.

Martin is an emergency medicine doctor, who had decided to write novels. She lives in North Carolina with her husband and three children.
