Organizers announce Miss Stanly County Fire Queen participants

The 64th Miss Stanly County Fire Queen Pageant will be conducted the morning of July 4 on the main stage immediately following the parade and the opening ceremonies.

Young ladies from across Stanly County come to Oakboro each year representing the fire department in their district in hopes of being the next Miss Stanly County Fire Queen.

This year, the pageant features eight ladies representing fire departments from all areas of the county. In addition to being featured in the annual Oakboro 4th of July parade, the young ladies will compete in categories of fitness, onstage question and evening wear.
