South Stanly graduate receives Norwood Scholarship
Landon Hollis, who graduated from South Stanly High with the distinction of Summa Cum Laude with highest praise, has been awarded the Edith Norwood Scholarship.
The scholarship, sponsored by the Norwood Community Service League, is given to a South Stanly High senior who has achieved at a high level academically and shown dedication to the local community.
He is the son of Tonya and Michael Hollis.
He competed on the South cross country team all four years at the school and served as a freshman orientation tour guide.
He plans to attend UNC Chapel Hill in the fall with the goal of becoming a physician.
