Stanly County Extension and Community Association presents Watson scholarships
The Stanly County Extension and Community Association has announced the winners of the Betty Watson Scholarship for 2023.

Meredith Simpson
Meredith Caitlyn Simpson, daughter of Brian and Crystal Simpson of New London, was awarded a $500 scholarship.
She plans to pursue a Master of Agriculture and Extension Education degree after her graduation this past May from North Carolina State University. Her plans include teaching in the fall.

Alexis Harward
Alexis Marie Harward, the daughter of Jessica Warren of Norwood, was awarded a $500 scholarship.
She graduated from South Stanly High School in June and plans to attend Florence-Darlington Technical College to pursue an associate degree in physical therapy.

Graylin Olivieri
Graylin Elizabeth Olivieri, daughter of Geoff and Beth Olivieri of Albemarle, was awarded a $1,000 scholarship.
She graduated from Albemarle High School in June and plans to attend UNC-Chapel Hill to pursue a degree in Health and Policy with a minor in Health and Society.

Eli Toole
Eli Patrick Toole, son of Chris and Lindsey Toole of Stanfield, was awarded a $1,000 scholarship.
He plans to pursue a degree in Exercise Science at Wingate University starting this fall.
