Stanly accepts Outstanding Board of Health Award

The Association of NC Boards of Health presented the Stanly County Consolidated Health and Human Services Board with the Outstanding Board of Health Award issued by ANCBH each year.

The award was presented during the Annual Meeting of ANCBH at the Orange County West Campus Office Building in Hillsborough.

The Outstanding Board of Health Award is given in recognition of Stanly County’s Consolidated Health and Human Services Board and its successful efforts to support opioid overdose and death prevention programs in Stanly County.

“We are honored to be recognized by the Association of North Carolina Boards of Health for this award,” Stanly County Consolidated Health & Human Services Board Chairperson Jann Lowder said. “We have a great group of professionals who are committed to our mission to protect, promote, preserve, and improve the health, quality of life, and the environment of the residents and communities of Stanly County.

“Additionally, this award would not have been possible without the dedication of our public health staff and local partners who have worked diligently to address substance use disorder in our community over the past five years.”
