LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Appreciation for compassion

My son suffered a medical emergency Thursday, Oct. 29, while driving on the Northeast Connector, lost consciousness, drove off the road and struck a telephone pole landing upside down. He was airlifted to Charlotte and is thankfully recovering from minor injuries considering the seriousness of the accident. His companion pet was ejected from the car and was missing for over 24 hours.

Thanks to the exceptional response of Sheriff Jeff Crisco, Deputy Tim Rogers and the entire recently reorganized Animal Control Agency, my son’s 7-year-old most important companion support dog was found that Friday afternoon shaken and traumatized, but no physical injury.

We are so thankful for the professionalism and determination to find Zeus by the sheriff’s entire Animal Control Team.
