Pfeiffer College had received a $35,000 grant from theh Cannon Foundation.
The funds would be applied to Pfeiffer’s Second Century Campaign goal of raising $5 million between 1980 and 1984.

Festival

Smiles and enthusiasm compensated for the overcast weather as an estimated 1,500 people gathered in Wiscassett Park Saturday afternoon for the “Get High On Life It’s Something Better To Do” Festival.

The event featured a fun run, shag and twist party, booths and displays, contests and more entertainment.
